Nova Talk 02 |The Open Beta of River Mahjong is Coming Soon
Nova talk is a program about Nova’s questions and answers with the community, which is launched and managed by the Ambassadors of the Rivermen Council, collecting and screening the questions for Nova.
Nova is the Administrator Meeting Chairman of the Cthuwork team, and the producer of the Rivermen project. According to the latest news from the Ambassador group, Rivermen is charged by Shanghai Team lead by Nova. River Entertainment City and Rivermen Estate are under development. This week, the closed beta test of mahjong game is openning for the Ambassador group. After the point system is officially launched, the official team will reward players who participate in the game with points, which can be exchanged for NFT.
In addition, the one-month Composition Story Competition is in process, the top prize is about 20,000 yuan. At 21 p.m. on Dec. 10, Rivermen has held an AMA on Twitter about the competition.

Nova: The current version is playable and is being refined. The closed beta test will be organized this week, and the public test has opened on December 11th. Welcome to experience it. Currently, mahjong rules are international mahjong, later will open the source code for writing your own mahjong code, such as Guangdong mahjong, Sichuan mahjong, etc.
Community ask: Will more games like “Fight the Landlord” be launched in the future? Hoping Metaverse could still be the focus of Rivermen, such as land or estate auction.
Nova: The main competition points of Mahjong game are in the championship unit, the later will be open to win points in the bonus pool, there is no win and lose, so it’s not gambling. Estates, lands, these have been in the development. The games will be placed in River Casino Center, which will have more gameplay in the future and a 3D scene that can be accessed.
There will still be official games to be released, as a model room, because all of these games will be open source, including the homemade tools used to make the games will be open source after adjusting the accessibility.
Community ask: Mahjong game has no rewards, no fun, no motivation to participate.
Nova: We will introduce non-token points that can be redeemed for NFT at the prize wheel or point store, so there is neither gambling compliance risk nor token compliance risk. This version of the public test has not yet included point system, you can try the functional level of Mahjong.
Community ask: when will the River Estate be released? Will the official airdrop River Estate to the Rivermen holders?
Lailai: Because the River Estate is a complete and grand world, you may feel lost inside, so we will launch River House Viewing Group first, to see and experience the Estate. Viewing group can be understood as a simplified version of the River Estate, which has no ownership for now. Once the rules are settled, we will airdrop the River Estate to the holders, which is also a kind of empowerment.
